Masternaut is is a stereo line signal conditioner, aimed at improving the sound of digital stereo recordings during a mastering process.
Sure, you can use a plugin to address the issue of “digitalitis”, but Masternaut stands out above all of those because it delivers!
No gunked-up low-mids, darkened highs or nasally/harsh high-mids. You get a subtle but game-changing glue effect that just makes your mix sound more organic.

As an enhanced version of the Creamliner, Masternaut adds soft clipping and a controllable, very tape-like overdrive, enabling you to impart just the right amount of “juice” to your masters, while preventing the falling appart of the mix. A choice of 2 different sounding output transformers which can be either terminated or not gives another option for coloration ranging between smoothness and punch. The EQ has been redesigned to accommodate Maor’s tonal requests. It offers boost only, with 2 selectable frequencies for both Air and Fat. In the calibrated mode, the unit has exactly 0dB gain for any combination of tube mode and tube gain. In the Overdrive mode, all level compensations are bypassed and one can overdrive the tube or the output transformer to taste.
